We have recently brought together a group of colleges in Scotland and also a group of schools in Lancashire to form buying consortia. Using their combined purchasing power we were able to negotiate better licensing deals for the groups enabling them to drop Microsoft pricing bands. 
By bringing them together we saved the schools in Lancashire a total of £6,252 for their desktop products.

Not only that, OLC are now the only EdLar in the UK who have the expertise in consolidating Microsoft Agreements offering our customer a pain free transition.

EDUSERV CHEST Microsoft Campus and Select Agreements.
Drawing upon our experiences in setting up Consortium Agreements, we have recently been involved in working with, and are now confirmed as an approved supplier of Eduserv’s CHEST Consortium Microsoft Campus and Select Agreements.  These will be available as of October (Campus) and November (Select) for further and Higher Education establishments. 

In order to benefit from this you must be enrolled as a CHEST member and have 100 full time employees or more.

• Microsoft Campus Agreements for higher education institutes looking for a simple flexible annual subscription licensing agreement. It is based on the number of full time employees in your establishment making it easy to manage.

• Microsoft School Agreements for schools and pre-schools who are looking for a simple flexible subscription licensing agreement. It is based on the number of computers you have at the time of taking out the agreement.

• Academic Open Licenses for academic institutions of any size wanting a one off transaction and the flexibility of acquiring licenses in small quantities, there is a minimum of 5 licenses to start off and after the initial order customers benefit from volume pricing for all their licenses for the two-year term of their agreement.

• Academic Select License for medium to large institutions with approximately 250+ computers.  This programme is designed to help reduce the total cost of software ownership.  Customers are able to acquire licenses for Microsoft products on an on-going basis.  With flexible payment options designed to work with a variety of budgeting systems, this programme is ideal for institutions with an extensive product list.

In addition, you can enhance the value of your software purchases with our Software Assurance option, giving you the opportunity to stay current with all your licensed software. You can also obtain copies of most Microsoft software for evaluation and training purposes, adding even more value to your Academic Select investment.
