Software Box Limited (SBL) specialises in providing software licensing and data and network security solutions to the public and private sectors nationally.

SBL is an ISO9001:2000 accredited company, and have been awarded an Investors-in-People Award. SBL also publishes environmental and ethical policies and have equal opportunity and anti-discriminatory policies to which SBL are firmly committed.

We are trusted to share data with and provide crucial services to some of the United Kingdom’s most security-sensitive organisations. All of our 90 staff are security cleared to the highest possible level.

SBL operates the specialist NHScat-IT security catalogue and is one of three suppliers on the ACPO Software Framework Agreement.

For over 10 years, SBL has been an agent of supply to the Ministry of Defence through two sections of the MoD ICS catalogue.

Security software and associated goods and services

SBL administer one of the largest Microsoft Enterprise Agreements in Europe, the largest HP Security Enhancements Enterprise Agreement, and an Anti-Virus Enabling Agreement (AVEA) with Network Associates Inc. for the DII (Defence Information Infrastructure). This includes an secure online software distribution service (T-BUS). An online database and licence management interface.

SBL is a subscriber to the CESG Assisted Products Scheme and the CESG Listed Adviser Scheme.

SBL provides the secretariat to the DIPCOG (Defence INFOSEC Product Co-Operation Group) and runs regular forums attended by MoD staff and delegates from other Government Departments, as well as Police, NHS and CLAS consultants.
